The People Behind Shalom Community Center
Shalom Community Center was founded by two experienced Jewish communal professionals who share a deep commitment to strengthening Jewish life, supporting Israel, and helping mission-driven organizations create meaningful and lasting impact.
Together, Rabbi Rikki Arad and Vered Cohen bring decades of experience in nonprofit leadership, synagogue management, fundraising, community engagement, organizational development, and donor stewardship. Their complementary expertise allows Shalom Community Center to serve as a trusted bridge between generous donors in the United States and small, impactful nonprofit organizations doing vital work on the ground in Israel.
