Beit Aruna – Our Current Pilot Program
At Shalom Community Center, we believe that healing is one of Israel’s greatest needs today.
In response to the ongoing emotional impact of war, we are proud to collaborate with Nicki Forman founder of Beit Aruna, our first pilot program dedicated to supporting individuals and families living with the invisible wounds of trauma.
Located in Herzliya Pituach, Beit Aruna provides trauma-informed workshops, retreats, and supportive community experiences for soldiers coping with PTSD, bereaved families, individuals recovering from emotional and physical trauma, and those struggling with anxiety, grief, and depression.
Our vision extends beyond providing services—we aim to create a safe, compassionate community where healing, resilience, and hope can flourish.
As our inaugural pilot initiative, Beit Aruna represents Shalom Community Center’s commitment to developing meaningful, community-based programs that address Israel’s most pressing social and emotional needs. We hope this model will grow and inspire similar initiatives throughout the country.

Beit HaChesed – Our ongoing support
At Shalom Community Center, we believe that healing is one of Israel’s greatest needs today.
Shalom Community Center is proud to support Beit HaChesed, a grassroots nonprofit organization in Rishon LeZion, Israel, led by Kobi Avitan.
Dedicated to serving families facing financial hardship, Beit HaChesed provides groceries and essential food supplies with compassion, dignity, and care. Through the commitment of its volunteers and community partners, the organization helps ensure that vulnerable individuals and families have access to nutritious food and the support they need during difficult times.
As part of our mission to strengthen communities in Israel, Shalom Community Center is partnering with Beit HaChesed by helping raise funds to expand its impact and reach more families in need. Together, we believe that no family should have to worry about putting food on the table.
